I need to transport perishable food. How long do you transport fruit?Fruit must be transported only under special conditions. First, it is necessary to secure and control the temperature. To do this, we have special refrigerated vehicles in our fleet. If fruit is to be transported by rail, refrigerated containers are used. The client shall provide information on the fruit harvest date, the term of storage provided for by sanitary standards and transportation conditions.

What is "Special cargo"?Special cargo includes any cargo that requires special transportation conditions. It narrows options of transportation means and increases expenditures on the part of the carrier. Some of such cargoes require compulsory insurance as they enhance the carrier's liability. Special transportation conditions include: - temperature control (transportation of perishable goods, medicines, coffins, deceased, etc.); - the inability to use standard means of transportation (oversized and heavy cargo, self-propelled machines and tracked vehicles); - increased responsibility or risk of the carrier (transportation of animals, high-value cargo, transplants, flammable and chemical substances, etc.). In certain cases, there shall be provided additional documents to allow carriage of special cargo (for example, when transporting animals, a pet passport with vaccinations recordings and a veterinary permission are required).
